Job Summary
The President/CEO is responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, and day-to-day operations of the Credit Union. This executive role ensures the financial stability and growth of the organization while aligning operational performance with the strategic goals established by the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in strategic sales, financial modeling, and business growth, with an ability to lead and inspire the staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and execute the Credit Unions Strategic Plan

  • Attract and Increase Membership
  • Oversee Budget and Manage Finances
  • Drive Loan Growth

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic plans in alignment with the mission, vision, and objectives of the Credit Union.
  • Identify and implement business strategies that drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Sales & Business Development

  • Oversee strategic sales initiatives to increase membership, products, and services utilization.
  • Guide the development and implementation of sales management systems and processes.

Financial Oversight

  • Lead the preparation and administration of an annual budget of approximately $47 million
  • Manage financial modeling activities to support data-driven decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
  • Manage FLEX Core system

Executive Management

  • Provide hands-on leadership working directly with a staff of eight
  • Make high-level organizational decisions, including budgeting, and staffing
  • Create, review, and update policies as needed
  • Maintain signing authority for transactions per board approved policies.

People Management

  • Hire, develop, and retain top talent across the organization.
  • Mentor and advise staff while promoting employee growth and accountability.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set compensation structures, and lead promotion and termination decisions.

Governance & Reporting

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Credit Union and the Board of Directors.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on the organization’s operational and financial health.
  • Recommend organizational policies and ensure adherence to compliance and ethical standards.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Sales Management: Ability to build and lead successful sales strategies and teams.
  • Financial Modeling: Proficient in advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and data interpretation.
  • Strategic Planning & Business Strategy: Strong capability to craft and implement high-level organizational strategies.
  • Merger/Acquisition: Ability to identify possible acquisitions or mergers
  • Strategic Sales: Success in driving business growth through targeted sales initiatives.
  • Leadership: Proven executive leadership with the ability to inspire and direct staff.
  • Budget Management: Extensive experience managing complex budgets and optimizing financial performance.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or equivalent preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive responsibilities in financial services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
