
Financial Aid Director
Job Description
Rend Lake College seeks a full-time FINANCIAL AID DIRECTOR. This individual will:
- Manage all financial aid programs and records.
- Perform Return of Title IV funds.
- Process outside loans.
- Manage student employment programs.
- Recommend and implement college policies concerning financial aid.
- Provide students with information and applications processes for grants, loans, scholarships, and student employment.
- Perform Professional Judgements.
- Reconciliation of all financial aid programs with the Business Office and outside agencies.
- Manage the Common Origination Disbursement (COD) with the Department of Education.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Federal Title IV, Higher Education Act, FERPA, Privacy Act, and state regulatory laws.
- Complete various reports for internal and external uses.
- Prepare budget information.
- Complete Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP).
- Coordinate correspondence and other general office responsibilities.
- Counsel and determine the eligibility of financial aid candidates.
- Assist with recruitment and retention efforts on and off campus.
- Update and maintain the Financial Aid Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited institution required, Master’s Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in Financial Aid required, or combination of relevant education and experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Strong computer skills required
- Supervisory experience a plus
- All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background check.
SALARY & BENEFITS
- $50,000 - $60,000 annually, or commensurate with education and experience.
