Summary
Responsible for policy harmonization and implementation, compensation & benefits management, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, auxiliary services, risk management, pastoral care, and all people strategy.

Major Job Functions
The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:

Develops and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce and the strategic goals of the enterprise company

Designs, directs, and manages a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management

Develops and monitors an annual budget that includes Human Resources services and employee recognition
-
Partners with management, Executives, senior leadership to communicate Human Resources and policies, procedures, programs, and applicable laws
-
Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation

Conducts internal investigations and addresses employee complaints/grievances
-
Leads company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), etc.

Supports and maintains the hospital’s compliance and risk management program structure. This includes, advising hospital leaders and BOT on issues of regulatory compliance and risk

Provides leadership oversight for the hospital’s Risk Management functions in risk identification and evaluation, claims management, loss control and prevention

Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
Education and Formal Training:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development required
-
Masters degree preferred
Work Experience:
-
Five (5) + years of progressive leadership and managerial experience in Human Resources required
-
Prior Hospital experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
-
Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred
-
Must be skilled in strategic planning and be able to negotiate and mediate conflict
-
Must have the ability to identify, organize and allocate resources
-
Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation and benefits administration, organizational planning and development, employee relations, safety, and training
-
Must possess exemplary oral and written communication skills
-
Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and organizational skills
-
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members
-
Position requires a high level of confidentiality
Physical Requirements:

Ability to move throughout the health system.

Must be flexible in use of time and physical space.

Must possess auditory and visual acuity to accurately perform job functions.
