JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications seeks applications for the position of a Part-Time Media Specialist to work approximately 20 hours per week, who will play an important role in assisting faculty and students with TV and audio productions and production-related classes.
Responsibilities: The duties are wide and varied, including (but not limited to) support for Bellisario’s broadcast team as it produces live shows, along with pre and post-production support for TV newscasts, sports shows and international projects. The role includes helping students and faculty with camera, editing and audio workshops and training, ongoing equipment and studio use, and technical troubleshooting, as well as guiding students through, and assisting faculty and staff with, a web content management system. Other duties may include tasks such as archiving video and other content.
At least five years of journalism experience essential, international experience a plus. Must be able to work with students of widely varied skill levels.
Skills: Mac and Microsoft OS experience, knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud knowledge, preferably with Adobe Audition and Premiere.
Reports to: Director of Student Television
