Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions, the Senior Associate Director for Working Professionals Programs is a senior leader within the admissions team at the Gabelli School of Business. This role oversees strategy and execution of admissions initiatives for programs designed for working professionals, including the Executive MBA (EMBA), Professional MBA (PMBA), and online graduate programs. 

The Senior Associate Director provides strategic guidance and operational oversight to attract, evaluate, and enroll high-caliber, diverse, and mission-aligned students into these programs. In addition to these program-specific responsibilities, the Senior Associate Director has school-wide responsibilities for the graduate portfolio, including strategic oversight of admissions marketing, lead management, and top-of-funnel conversion initiatives, working in close collaboration with the central Gabelli marketing team to ensure alignment, brand consistency, and enrollment growth across all graduate programs. Finally, this role serves as a liaison with academic and corporate partners, working closely with Gabelli School colleagues. 

This position requires domestic and international travel, as well as evening and weekend hours.

Essential Functions

Serves as a senior member of the admissions leadership team, contributing to the overall strategy and vision for graduate admissions and supervising the Associate Director of Admissions for Working Professionals Programs, who supervises the Assistant Director of Admissions for Online Programs.

Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive recruiting and enrollment strategy for working professional programs.

Collaborates closely with academic program directors, faculty, marketing, and career services to align recruitment strategies with program objectives and financial targets.

Provides strategic oversight of lead management and inquiry-to-application conversion efforts across the entire graduate program portfolio. Focus on building and maintaining a strong top-of-funnel through data-informed outreach, funnel optimization, and performance tracking and refinement.

Develops and refines lead generation and nurturing strategies that support enrollment growth.

Oversees the strategic direction and execution of admissions marketing across the full graduate portfolio, including full-time, part-time, and online programs.

Oversees the recruitment and evaluation process for EMBA, PMBA, and online program candidates, with direct oversight of the EMBA program, including strategy execution, pipeline management, and enrollment coordination.

Develops targeted pipeline-building efforts and outreach strategies tailored to the unique needs of working professionals; make data-driven adjustments to strategies.

Conducts high-touch outreach to prospective students through information sessions, one-on-one consultations, application workshops, and admitted student events.

Manages the interview and selection process for applicants, ensuring fair, holistic, and timely evaluations.

Designs and leads the development of a recruitment strategy specifically tailored for veterans and military-connected applicants across all graduate programs.

Supervises the work of other Fordham employees who are individual contributors. Responsible for hiring, training and developing, managing performance and administering corrective action. Has significant input in compensation decisions.

Additional Functions

Provides guidance and training on admissions best practices, evaluation criteria, and customer relationship management for the Working Professionals programs.

Partners with Marketing & Communications to enhance messaging and campaign effectiveness.

Partners with GSB MarComm to align campaign content, timing, and targeting for maximum impact.

Uses CRM tools (e.g., Slate) to track engagement, segment audiences, and personalize outreach.

Analyzes conversion data to identify trends and recommend adjustments to outreach strategies.

Ensures consistent, yet program-specific lead management practices across all programs.

Supports team training on effective strategies, such as inquiry response protocols and conversion techniques.

Collaborates with the Senior Director of External Partnerships and Engagement and the Associate Dean of Global Initiatives to manage all academic and external partnerships, investing in new and existing relationships and coordinating ongoing outreach and pipeline strength.

Oversees all Working Professionals programs recruitment and yield events.

Contributes to and oversees content development, campaign planning, and performance analysis of digital and marketing initiatives.
Monitor and report on admissions performance metrics, including application volume, quality, diversity targets, and enrollment outcomes.

Leverages CRM systems (e.g., Slate) to track candidate progress and personalize outreach efforts.

Builds and maintains partnerships with Fordham’s internal veteran and military offices, external veteran-serving groups, and veteran alumni.

Develops strategy for veteran-specific admissions events, webinars, and targeted outreach.

Oversees recruitment for NYC and Westchester County employees; researches and develops relationships with other public sector populations.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in graduate admissions, student services, or a related higher education setting.

Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.

Demonstrated success in executive or professional program recruitment.

Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce), data analysis, and project management.


Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in business, education, or related field preferred.
Familiarity with the working professionals market in the NYC metro area and/or nationally.

Understanding of veteran and military-affiliated applicant needs and recruitment best practices.

Comfort working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

$115,000

Maximum Starting Salary

$125,000
