Job Summary
This is an hourly position for current registered students (work-study available).
As part of the Department of Public Safety (DPS) team, Student Patrol Officers (SPOs) serve as leaders by offering front line customer service and support to students, faculty, staff and visitors of the University of Michigan-Flint campus. SPOs provide positive interactions through operation of campus Safe Ride services, facilitation of found property services, and serving as the eyes, ears and smiles of the Department of Public Safety while representing themselves and the University of Michigan-Flint in a professional and courteous manner.

Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan.
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Background Screening
