The Department of CHBP offers academic programs leasing to bachelor’s degrees in chemistry (BA & BS) with minor tracks in physics and multiple chemistry disciplines. CHBP has 17 full-time faculty members, with five faculty participating in the physics program, and approximately 120 undergraduate majors. The physics program serves as a major support for disciplines within the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) which has over 3,000 undergraduate majors. We take pride in our student focused programs, strong undergraduate research activities and newly remodeled teaching and laboratory facilities.

The typical workload for this position will involve teaching three courses per quarter (45 credits per academic year). Teaching responsibilities may include introductory physics courses and other upper division courses depending on expertise and departmental need. The position will offer opportunities to engage in collaborative research and service of interest to the candidate, but this is not a requirement.
The salary for this position is $58,133. In addition to salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance and retirement.
