The Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency is currently seeking a full time OPO Electronic Medical Records Analyst. The OPO Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Analyst is responsible for all processing, maintenance, support, integration, and reporting related to EMR access. This role requires an individual that is detail oriented and able to process sensitive information in a timely manner. This position will be the primary liaison to the hospital EMR teams within all OPOs designated service area, LAORA staff, and LAORA Information Systems and will advocate for appropriate and timely EMR access. The position will serve as liaison to the OPOs related to documentation, in collaboration with OPO training staff, for OPO and hospital required documentation and specific training to ensure consistent training is implemented, assigned and documented across all service areas. The position will also provide assistance with document management as needed for ad hoc cross-divisional projects where obtaining key clinical records is time sensitive. Strong interpersonal skills are required, as they will be expected to develop collaborative internal and external relationships.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Develops and manages an organizational plan with partner hospitals/systems, health information exchanges, and clinical platforms for direct access to electronic medical records (EMRs).
Develops, documents and implements specific requirements of EMR access.
Responsible for set up and maintenance of physical access and user access accounts, including onboarding, changes, and terminations.
Serves as the liaison to LAORA OPO staff for all hospital EMR-related issues.
Responsible for training internally or that staff are set up and complete external training.
Gathers and manages system requirements for access to EMR systems, which includes but is not limited to providing Information Technology (IT) support for the installation, configuration, and training of applications.
Responsible for assessing the system needs set forth by the OPOs.
Determines how to effectively use and maintain files, databases, policies and procedures to resolve business problems and meet departmental needs.
Imparts and adheres to IT security, Corporate Compliance, and HR policies to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected data.
Researches market and industry data to understand the use and prevalence of specific clinical applications within healthcare systems.
Supports testing of EMR functionality and participates in the analysis and potential implementation of new software related to EMR Conducts Death Record Reviews and enters pertinent information into appropriate databases.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
