SL2Position Summary
The Curriculum Assistant for the Department of Biochemistry provides comprehensive administrative and academic support to faculty, staff, and students, with responsibilities spanning graduate and undergraduate program assistance, event management, and department operations. In this position, you will be responsible for:
Academic Support for Graduate and Undergraduate Programs
- Assist under supervision of the Assistant to the Chair and Program Director all student services at the master’s graduate level
- Advise students regarding curriculum and university policies
- Act as key communicator with Director’s of Undergraduate and Graduate Education, Program Administrator.
- Assess applicant admissions eligibility and process admissions based on Director’s decision.
- Assign faculty advisors and run academic advisement reports
Departmental Administrative Support
- Serve as point of contact for faculty, staff, and students to provide support for seminar programs, events, teaching evaluations, and student awards
- Maintain a “master document” of all scheduled seminars for each academic year
- Arrange Travel and accommodations
- Prepare itineraries; solicit faculty to meet with speakers based on faculty host’s recommendations

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate Degree with 2 years of related experience
- Requires experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in administrative support in an academic institution
- Knowledge of UB Administrative policies and management systems: HUB, Slate, SIRI, ePTF, Travel
Salary Range
$51,261 - $58,000Job Type
