Job Summary
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Michigan is searching for a Director of Student Academic Services for its undergraduate and graduate programs. The Director will provide strategic leadership and direction for the programs, projects, and activities related to advising, career services, records, admissions, enrollment, placement, and curricular activities. We seek a proven leader with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and management skills; demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of services that will encourage and challenge students to be responsible for their success to become part of the leaders and best.

Responsibilities*
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree with at least 5-7 years of experience in higher education or equivalent experience and training.
Desired Qualifications*
Master's degree in business, higher education, education leadership, or other relevant field. The Director of Student Services position requires a person who is ambitious and energetic, who brings a broad strategic perspective, leadership, and operational experience in business, student affairs, and services. The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to devise creative approaches to student services. Work well with senior leadership and be willing to create efficiencies and streamline student services processes. The ideal candidate must be able and willing to collaborate with senior leadership, faculty, staff, and students. Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
Additional Information
Salary range is $80,000 - $90,200. A higher starting salary may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
