Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) announces an opportunity to work in Enrollment Services a full-time Technician III, Student Records.
LTCC is proud to offer a variety of degree and certification programs to students. Enrollment Services is a student’s first stop to registering for classes either to complete a degree, continue their education, or transfer to a four-year institution. Serving about 3,000 each quarter, students can pursue a wide variety of interests at LTCC such as the Lake Tahoe Basin Fire Academy program and offerings in allied health, business administration, commercial music, criminal justice, digital media, and wilderness education. The college calendar is based on the quarter system, with each quarter 12 weeks long. Following the three quarters there is a six-week summer session.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
After review, suitable applicants will be invited by phone or email on or around Wednesday, November 5, 2025 to participate in a skills assessment. Successful candidates will then be interviewed by a committee of approximately 3-5 individuals; these interviews are tentatively scheduled for November 20, 2025. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee an interview. LTCC reserves the right to return to the applicant pool at any point during the recruitment process.

COMPENSATION:
Salary Range: LTCC offers a competitive compensation package that includes a starting placement salary of $49,952 to $55,153 annually, dependent on education and experience. There is potential to reach $63,958 annually, through step advancement plus longevity when appropriate. In addition to base salary, this position qualifies for extra bilingual (Spanish), masters or doctorate pay.

Several plan options maintain a zero monthly premium cost from the employee and include full coverage of a gold-level medical plan that, on average, covers 80% of healthcare expenses for a standard population. LTCC also matches 27% of an eligible employee’s salary and contributes it into a CalPERS pension account for qualifying employees.
Work-Life Balance: This position is 40 hours per week and 12 months per year, including summer and winter hours. Hours are expected to be Monday-Friday, generally within the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, hours may vary according to the needs of the program. This position is eligible for overtime compensation (non-exempt). This position may qualify for LTCC’s telecommute program, which allows employees the opportunity to telecommute for up to 20% of the work week after completion of a three-month qualifying period.
LTCC provides a generous leave package including 17 paid holidays per year plus 12 days vacation (with the potential to reach 24 days through years of service) and 12 days sick leave per year.

Definition:
Under the direction of an assigned Director, perform a variety of highly complex technical functions in support of the designated department, assist students, staff, and the public by providing information and appropriate materials.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
A Technician is trained or skilled in the technical aspect of a subject. This is the highest-level class in the Technician series that reports to a director or administrator within a department. Work is performed within general guidelines involving independent judgment and responsibility over projects. Duties involve performing the most technical and difficult tasks out of the Technician series, requiring specialized or advanced skill in one or more areas of the work assigned. Impact on students, financial, physical, or personnel resources is department wide.
Representative Duties:
Perform complex duties to support the ongoing functionalities and processes of designated Department; develop and implement systems and procedures to achieve assigned department goals; create, monitor, and maintain systems to facilitate the success.
Conduct various meetings to provide assigned program or process assistance and training to staff; present general program information and individual instructions to students, staff, or public.
Provide quality customer service to students and visitors in person and using communication technologies such as phone or email; interpret and explain department processes and procedures; and assist employees who interact with designated Department.
Accept and process forms, applications, and general information requested by individuals; interact with faculty, staff, students and the public; interpret and provide technical guidance on regulations; provide information on policies and procedures; assist with special projects.
Provide analysis of various reports; problem solve when performing calculations, maintain records and prepare reports within scheduled timelines; present and disburse information and reports as assigned.
Consult and collaborate with administrator and director to assess technical needs and make recommendations procedure changes. Develop resource requirements for assigned technical procedures. Strives to provide continuous improvement of technical process and procedures.
Serve on a variety of District committees as requested. Participate in district all staff events including but not limited to all campus team building day, convocation, state of the college address, senior day, and graduation.
Student Records Option Class:
Support the Enrollment Services office by providing detailed information and technical assistance to students, staff, and the public regarding admissions, registration, and academic records. Key responsibilities include, maintaining accurate student records, data entry and ensuring compliance with graduation and transfer requirements. This role involves maintaining and updating the colleges degree audit program, processing credit evaluations, building course equivalencies in Colleague, determining student eligibility for graduation or transfer, and resolving enrollment issues. The position also includes working effectively amongst a team and communicating policies and procedures clearly and professionally. This role requires a strong understanding of institutional guidelines and the ability to handle complex and specialized tasks independently.
